# Sprayers, mist dusters and foggers

Crop-protection equipment for orchards, field crops and public health: engine-driven mist dusters, high-pressure power sprayers, manual knapsack sprayers and thermal foggers.

Mist dusters (NTS420, SR420, NTS423) use a 41.5–72.3cc engine and fan to throw liquid or powder over a long horizontal reach (the NTS423 lists up to 15 m horizontal reach), which reaches the top of fruit trees. Power sprayers such as the 26cc NTS768 with a 25 L tank use a piston pump for fine, even droplets on vegetables and vineyards. Manual 16–20 L sprayers with brass pumps need no fuel and suit smallholders.

Thermal foggers turn chemicals into a dense fog for greenhouses, warehouses and mosquito control.

### What is the difference between a mist duster and a power sprayer?

A mist duster uses a high-speed air stream to carry droplets or powder over a long distance and into dense canopies. A power sprayer uses a pump to create pressure and is better for precise, low-volume spraying close to the plant.

### Can one machine spray both liquid and powder?

Yes. Mist dusters such as the 3WF-3 and NTS420 come with a liquid and a powder kit, so the same machine can mist and dust.
